Agyness Deyn brands fashion industry “materialistic”

Agy says despite her trendsetting haircuts and cutting-edge style, her heart does not belong in the fashion world.

‘You know, even though I’m in fashion, I don’t, like, do fashion,’ says the Lancashire model in a new interview.

‘Fashion isn’t me, even though I work in it. It’s just materialistic stuff’, she says.

Grilled on whether she’ll be representing Britain during upcoming fashion weeks in New York, Milan, Paris and indeed London, the reluctant model says ‘I don’t know’.

‘I kind of make the decision a week before. I love doing it, but then sometimes I’m doing another project or something.’

Instead the elfin blonde, 26, says she is more ‘into stuff that really pushes the boundaries, raises the bar … like, puts you out of your comfort zone.

‘I just want to do whatever makes me happy’ she says.

One of those thing is staying conscious, says the party animal.

‘Like being totally conscious. Laughing is, like, my favorite thing to do. Being with friends, having fun … being a bit daft’, she says.
