Amy Winehouse is launching her own record label, reports the News of the World. The debut release on Lioness Records will be an album by her goddaughter, 13-year-old Dionne Bromfield. Winehouse has spent approximately $1.5 million dollars setting up the label and bringing in artists such as Lady GaGa to duet with the teenager. In a YouTube video – dating from last year and shot by Pete Doherty – the (then 12-year-old) girl sings a version of Alicia Key’s ‘If I Ain’t Got You’, accompanied by her godmother on electric guitar. Being a music mogul at least seems like a positive focus for the troubled star. Winehouse has spent large amounts of money since then sending her charge to intensive singing lessons in Los Angeles and has even flown her out to the Caribbean where the pop star appears to have taken up residence.
