Young white rapper, Asher Roth, is currently enjoying a bonus burst of publicity, after helping to subdue a man who claimed he had a bomb on board the Delta Airlines flight he was traveling. The flight – bound for LAX – was landing when the unnamed man claimed he was carrying an explosive device and made a lunge for the doors. The MC’s guitarist, Chris Llewellyn, was the first to tackle the man before Roth and others joined in. The man also assaulted at least one crew member and was arrested by the FBI on arrival at LAX. The man was detained by FBI agents and the Los Angeles airport police and could face federal and state charges, although no explosives were found. Asher Roth was recently named one of MTV’s ‘MCs to watch in 2009′ and was traveling from Atlanta to appear on the Carson Daly show.
