Barack Obama’s lineup of acts for the inaugural festivities in Washington DC is as eclectic as his ipod. And perhaps as big. If he has that new 120GB one.
A full lineup of the celebrity bacchanalia after the jump.
His inaugural committee announced Monday that the entertainers include: Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Bono, Garth Brooks, Sheryl Crow, Renee Fleming, Josh Groban, Herbie Hancock, Heather Headley, John Legend, Jennifer Nettles, John Mellencamp, Usher Raymond IV, Shakira, Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor, will.i.am, and Stevie Wonder.
In addition there will be a few “historical passages” read by celebrity actors. Those celebrities are Jamie Foxx, Martin Luther King III, Queen Latifah and Denzel Washington.

[...] Stevie Wonder has been awarded the esteemed ‘Library of Congress’ Gershwin prize’ for lifetime achievement at the White House. The Obama hosted a concert late Wednesday to honor Wonder, an early and vocal supporter of Obama for president. The president said Wonder provided “the soundtrack of my youth” and helped him find “peace and inspiration, especially in difficult times.” The singer was also credited with bringing president, Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, together. Obama told his guests that Wonder was responsible for their early romance. “I think it’s fair to say that had I not been a Stevie Wonder fan, Michelle might not have dated me,” Obama told guests that included the singer Will.i.am, a number of US lawmakers and Attorney General Eric Holder. “We might not have married. The fact that we agreed on Stevie was part of the essence of our courtship.” [...]
