Bono to become New York Time’s journalist

The Guardian reports that U2’s Bono is the latest columnist to be hired by New York’s esteemed newspaper. Editorial page editor Andrew Rosenthal announced the decision at Columbia’s School of Journalism this week. Bono will write between six and 10 articles over the course of 2009 and he won’t cost a penny. Queen guitarist, Brian May, who just earned his doctorate in astrophysics, is next in the queue for celebrity musicians to page-fill for Rosenthal. Watch this space.
