Carla Bruni in America, the nude

Musictoob’s favorite model-turned-rock-star-turned-adultress-turned-politician’s wife Carla Bruni has made her first inroads in America with a “write-around” piece in Radar magazine. In the piece, which details Bruni’s past conquests, Carla’s sister Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi reveals “When my sister wants someone, she takes him.” Bruni’s attitude to marriage, meanwhile, is summed up by her 2000 album No Promises. Bruni demanded that a recording studio be built at the Élysée Palace, before she married French President Nicholas Sarkozy. Of the pair, Bruni is by far the richer (20 times, in fact) and prefers to live in her classic mansion in Paris’s 16th arrondissement.

Three months into their marriage, Bruni remains “uncharacteristically demure.” “Some predicted that Carla would destroy me,”  observed Sarkozy in an interview with Paris Match, “but she hasn’t.” Watch this space. [Radar]
