Courtney Love and her ‘fat band’

According to a sensitive report in the News of the World newspaper, Courtney Love lied about how she lost weight. That’s weird, because I thought Courtney was a really reliable source of truth, almost Confucian, in fact. Love had a gastric band fitted rather than losing weight through dieting or exercise. A friend said: “Courtney keeps laughing to her friends and saying, ‘Everyone thinks I’ve had hypnosis but why bother with all that effort? All I did was check myself in and have a fat band fitted’.” Nobody expects Courtney Love not to tell porkies, surely? A little more grist for the Cobain conspiracy theorists and their mill, at any rate.
