Daft Punk to score Tron 2

daftpunkFuturists rejoice: Daft Punk will be scoring the sequel to 1982’s Tron, Walt Disney Pictures has confirmed. This marks the first score by the French electronic duo, and promises to be much funkier than hearing ‘Da Funk’ in 1997’s “The Saint.” (Val Kilmer is the anti-funk.)

Being completely honest, there’s only one thing on everybody’s mind: a Daft Punk-scored lightcycle scene. Wendy Carlos, though she did a fine job on the rest of the score, really dropped the ball by not composing one note for the most famous scene in the original film — Daft Punk, do the fan-boys a favor and lay something on us ‘One More Time!’
