How Gwyneth helped Coldplay hubby to book Girls Aloud for a Coldplay support slot

954__cg_lThe King and Queen of self-consciousness, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, turn out to be huge Girls Aloud fans. Why is this revelation not surprising? Because mediocre pop music is what pays their bills, yo. Back in December, Chris said: “Girls Aloud are my favourite girls in the world, aside from my wife and daughter, of course! But they definitely come third to eighth.” How very radical. The singer called each of the girls individually to ask if they would open for his band at Wembley Stadium on September 18 this year. When he was on the phone to Cheryl Cole, his wife took the handset and sang a few lines from the 2002 hit Sound Of The Underground. Oh, Apple and Moses, are you old enough yet to steal an iPhone and YouTube these rousing domestic scenes?

The film, which hits US screens in the middle of February, smells like a stinker. Unless, of course, you find it believable that a 34-year-old man would be living at his parent’s home and forced to make romantic decisions straight out of a Jane Austen novel. Plus the trailer-music is vomit inducing. Enjoy. [...]
