"Musictoob serves up juicy tidbits from the music scene and beyond" - The Wall Street Journal
The King and Queen of self-consciousness, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, turn out to be huge Girls Aloud fans. Why is this revelation not surprising? Because mediocre pop music is what pays their bills, yo. Back in December, Chris said: “Girls Aloud are my favourite girls in the world, aside from my wife and daughter, of course! But they definitely come third to eighth.” How very radical. The singer called each of the girls individually to ask if they would open for his band at Wembley Stadium on September 18 this year. The film, which hits US screens in the middle of February, smells like a stinker. Unless, of course, you find it believable that a 34-year-old man would be living at his parent’s home and forced to make romantic decisions straight out of a Jane Austen novel. Plus the trailer-music is vomit inducing. Enjoy. [...]
