According to The Sun, Kate Moss wants to quit the catwalk and become a musician. “She first took to the stage with ex-boyfriend Pete Doherty’s band, Babyshambles, and performed on their album, ‘Down In Albion’…A source close to Kate confirmed: “She has told everyone she won’t carry on modeling after she turns 35. Songwriting and being a singer will slowly take over.”As the Guardian explained in 2006, Moss first flexed her music muscles on a track with Primal Scream, “in which she assumed the Nancy Sinatra/Lydia Lunch role on Some Velvet Morning.” Next she appeared in pop promos for Johnny Cash and then The White Stripes, which found her doing some pole dancing (Moss is multi-talented, remember?). “Can Kate Moss sing? Well, on the Primal Scream track she sounds a bit like Rachel Stevens or, to put a slightly finer point on it, like a session singer pondering what she might have for dinner.” Maybe that is why female Kills member, Alison Mosshart, refused to let Kate Moss come on stage to join her bandmate, Kills guitarist Jamie Hince, when he was dating the supermodel.
