Hot model Lily Cole has appeared in a Playboy shoot. The Cambridge University student seems to be funding her new education by getting her kit off for a 14-page spread inside the men’s magazine. The shoot is said to have been inspired by the cover of French musician Serge Gainsbourg’s 1971 album, “Histoire de Melody Nelson”. An album whose weird pseudo-autobiographical plot involves the middle-aged Gainsbourg crashing his 26-horsepower 1910 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost into fouteen-year-old Melody Nelson, a girl who hails unglamorously from Sunderland, and the subsequent seduction and romance that ensues. The Mail says: “In the interview which accompanies the Playboy photos, Miss Cole tries to justify her decision to pose nude. She says: ‘Nudity has always existed in art, and I think that, given the right conditions, it doesn’t necessarily “debase” any more than it celebrates or represents the human body.’ But this isn’t the first time she has posed nude as these Jergen Teller pics more than ably demonstrate.
