Rumours have swirled around the troubled marriage of Madonna, 49 and Guy Ritchie, 39, for years. But today the Daily Mirror has announced that both parties are consulting lawyers - Madonna has sought out Paul McCartney’s divorce attorney - after a year of marriage crisis. A friend said last night: “They were both very calm. Madonna told Guy: ‘I’m sorry, I want a divorce’. And he agreed. It was quite painless but very sad.” The pair have three children and no prenup although friends insisted Guy, who went to Eton, would not fleece his soon to be ex wife. “Guy is a decent bloke, full stop. It’s not his style to start profiteering from such sorry circumstances. He’s got too much respect for his wife and children.”
