"Musictoob serves up juicy tidbits from the music scene" - The Wall Street Journal
The soulful antidote to Williamsburg’s glut of undie-rockers (you like that?) comes tomorrow night thanks to Finger On The Pulse’s Soul Bowl. More info after the jump!
Greg Bresnitz, of IFC’s “Dinner With The Band,” put this together for the love of soul — and he’s found good company in the Dap Kings’ Binky Griptite, who debuts his new group the Mellomatics tomorrow night.
Greg also let us know heavy-duty personnel, like Antibalas’ Marcus Farrar and the Rev. Vince Anderson’s Meah Pace, flesh out the group which will play a mix of Binky’s originals and classic soul/R&B.
Did we mention there’s food, too?
Check back for a full report and an interview with Mr. Griptite himself. And try and stay soulful, Brooklyn!
