New sexy snaps of Carla Bruni up for auction add to the French First Lady’s woes

carla-bruni beautiful face Zut alors! It never rains it but it pours for France’s first lady and sometime pop singer Carla Bruni. The sultry wife of French premier Nicholas Sarkozy is in the firing line again – no, not for her alleged affair with a French musician – but this time over some sexy photos to be put up for auction.

The pics in question - which feature sex bomb Bruni in various states of undress - were taken when she was a pouting 25 year old. You can see the photographs here.

In one, taken by the famous shutterbug Helmut Newton, Bruni leans against a mahogany piano, with her skirt riding up in risque fashion.

In another, taken in 1987 by Pamela Hanson, she is smoking a cigarette in very brief white bikini bottoms with white T-shirt pulled provocatively up.

The auction comes an an awkward timke. Bruni, 43, is fighting rumors she is shacked up with French muso Benjamin Biolay who is six years her junior. Her husband President Sarkozy, 55, has been linked to his ecology minister Chantal Jouanno, 40, a karate champion in her spare time.

It’s not the first time embarrassingly saucy images of Bruni have surfaced.

A naked photograph of Miss Bruni went on sale in London two years ago just as she and her husband arrived for a full state visit to the UK, staying with the Queen.

The image from 1993 by French photographer Michael Comte showed the topless model hiding her modesty only with her hands. It sold for $90,000 at auction to an unnamed bidder in New York.
