The bands will perform songs from The Who’s back catalogue as part of VH1’s third annual VH1 Rock Honors, at L.A.’s Pauley Pavilion on July 12. But can they beat the originals? who will also be on hand to play a set of their own songs. After the jump watch The Who perform A Quick One (While He’s Away) for the Rolling Stones’ 1968 movie Rock n Roll Circus. Mick Jagger was so shocked by their performance he pulled the entire movie, certain that his band had just been upstaged.
