Pete Doherty is out of jail and looking forward to seeing his pet cats

Rejoice. Pete Doherty walked free from Wormwood Scrubs prison today after serving 29 days of his 14 week sentence. Waiting reporters were shown a certificate proving the heroin addicted singer was clean from drugs, and were told he was looking forward to drinking a rum and coke and hanging out with his pet cats. Doherty ad been spending most of his sentence in the seclusion after fellow inmates plotted to kill him. Mobile phone photographs of Doherty sitting in his cell and talking to other inmates on a landing were published in The Sun. Doherty told the newspaper prison was “a lot of gangsters and Radio Four.”
