Robbie Williams saught by police over robbery at gunpoint

robbiewilliams_855_18508239_0_0_7000332_300WTF! Robbie Williams is being saught by Bahamian police over a robbery at gunpoint of two paparazzi.

Two photographers were victims of an attack hours after being involved in a shouting match with Williams’ entourage while they photographed the star with zoom lenses.

Four armed men broke into their rented room and stole $20,000 worth of cameras and other equipment, it has been claimed.

Williams had been on an exclusive beach on the island when he was pictured smoking a large rolled up cigarette.

The star had been enjoying a break at a luxury ocean front home with girlfriend Ayda Field, his dad Pete Conway and two other couples.

The former Take That star is not being treated as a suspect.

But Superintendent Ellsworth Moss, who heads the detective unit of the Royal Bahamas Police Force, said Williams had been questioned.

“We don’t think he was the one who actually committed the robbery, but it may have been a spinoff or may have been triggered by what reportedly happened with his party on the beach,” he said.

The police boss said Williams may have to stay on the island, depending on the outcome of his interview.

Mr Moss said: ‘We’ll make a determination as to whether he can help us or not.’

One of the robbers cut himself as he broke through a window of the photographers’ cottage. His blood was found on sheets and broken shards of glass, it is alledged.

A handgun was found outside the cottage, which left Splash News photographer Matt Sanchez scared for his life.

He told The Sun: ‘We were in fear for our lives. Carlos had a gun put to his head the entire time and we were threatened if we tried to look up from the floor.’

He described the terrifying ordeal as ‘a nightmare’.

‘We could have been shot dead.’

A phone call to Williams’ representative in London was not answered.

Three men are now in custody in connection with the case. He did not disclose further details, saying the investigation was continuing.
