Rod Stewart is renting Michael Jackson his Essex mansion when the singer comes to London to embark on the first of his ten dates at the O2 arena in July. Stewart’s house is just three miles outside greater London. It is set in an 180 acre estate and even has a football pitch.
In an effort to drum up extra interest in the Jackson musical residency, the singer is planning to release a single before the dates and may even give away a free album to anyone who books a ticket to his shows.
He is also planning for illusionist David Blaine to float over the stage.
The ailing star is rumoured to be training some dance doubles to do his more energtic moves.
It has been estimated his shows could net the singer $400m. He is $250m in debt.
