Susan Boyle: I promised my mother I would do something with my life, just before she died

Susan Boyle has opened up about the promise she made to her dying mother.

“I had promised my mum I would do something with my life just before she died – that I’d do something with my singing. So I applied for Britain’s Got Talen,” said Boyle.

“We’d seen a soloist singing on the TV just before she passed and I said, ‘Is that what you want me to do, Mum?’

“She said, ‘Yes.’ She had a good belief that I could do it. So I decided to do something about it.

“I couldn’t straight away because the bereavement hit me hard.

“It didn’t fully register until maybe six months after, when the loneliness set in and there was nobody around except my cat.

“When you lose someone as powerful as your mum you feel as if a part of you is taken away and that does things to your confidence.”

“But I’m getting over that slowly and putting my promise into practice.”

   I am soooo happy for you . I love your singing And I know what you are going through . Been there . My husband not long passd away and I am lost . And don’t worry your mom is right beside you and keeping a watch over you and she is so very proud . Please keep singing . God Bless
