Taylor Swift plays for contest-winning high school

Pop darling Taylor Swift performed this week at Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, VA, after students sent over 19,000 text messages to Verizon Wireless.

True to her word, Swift played the Catholic school.

Taylor’s only a few years older than the students, at 19; for somebody as maligned as she was during her own high school experience, we’re sure it felt like a milestone.

“I want to give a special shout-out to the senior class, because I was a senior last year,” yelled Swift.

And what of the response? 

“I almost fainted,” said one student. A boy.
