A UK civil servant has been charged over writing a porn-site blog which describes the kidnap, rape, and murder of Girls Aloud. Darryn Walker, 35, (pictured below) is being prosecuted under obscenity laws. Experts say the action is one of the most significant obscenity cases since the trial over the novel Lady Chatterley’s Lover.

Meanwhile, Paul McCartney is making the headlines for releasing a new album entitled ‘Electronic Arguments’ under the pseudonym ‘The Fireman’. The songs target Heather Mills and the descent of their relationship into tears and acrimony. The album, due to be released next month, was recorded over nearly a year, with each individual track being written and recorded in the space of just one day. It’s one way of having the last word, although who doesn’t doubt Heather Mills will get herself a little more air-time from the record.
