Timbaland remixes Jonas Brothers. World ends

For those wondering how hard times affect music-biz bigs: Timbaland’s remixed ‘Tonight,’ the theme song to the Jonas Brothers’ new 3D movie. And no, it wasn’t to drop in sound clips from Paris’ sex tape or to mash it up with the Isley Brothers — just cold, hard business it seems. Say it ain’t so?

Verizon paid super-producer Timbaland, most known for his work with Jay-Z and Missy Elliot, to remix the tune and give first dibs to users of the BlackBerry Storm smartphone. We’re not worried, though — nobody has one of those. In fact, we use carrier pigeons ’round this office.
