Usher goes bankrupt

usherGrammy-award winning R & B man, Usher, is having money troubles like the rest of the planet. His Atlanta-based wine bar/restaurant has closed down after filing for bankruptcy. ‘The Grape’ was part of a chain of upmarket bars that boasted ‘the ultimate wine experience.’ Oh for the heady days of success when the likes of Michael Jordan and an 18-strong team of friends sat in The Grape knocking back the White Haven Pinot Noir.’ Usher had planned to extend the brand worldwide, but alas: the best laid plans of mice and men.

Usher isn’t the first celebrity to have been unsuccessful in in the hospitality industry. J-Lo’s California based restaurant ‘Madre’ went bust last year and Britney Spears closed down her NYLA venture in New York back in 2002.
