Who is Joshua Bowman?

Joshua Bowman, 21, is the non crack-addicted, non prison-dwelling ‘friend’ of Amy Winehouse. The troubled singer went for a stroll on the beach in St Lucia and found herself some fresh blood to feast on. After a British education at Wellington College, Berkshire, (where yearly boarding fees cost $38,000 dollars), Bowman has spent the past year on the books of a New York acting agency, Gersch. Bowman studied method acting at the Lee Strasburg Institute and ‘networking’. Is ‘networking’ the same thing as ‘being photographed with someone famous when you are trying to make it’? Well, Bowman doesn’t think so: “It’s true to say that I’m a budding young actor. But I’d rather get my name out there because of my acting rather than who I’m being photographed with. I wasn’t waiting until there was a photographer on the beach to put my arm around Amy.” Waltzing around the Caribbean being rich and stalking the famous is all that some people were invented for, after all.
