An over-wrought Susan Boyle collapsed at Heathrow airport on Tuesday prompting further fears that the global star is finding her instant fame extremely difficult to handle.
Boyle, 48, collapsed at Heathrow Airport en route to the South of France. The singer fainted in the British Airways Club Lounge before the morning flight to Nice.
Susan, who was admitted to the Priory Clinic after suffering a breakdown while performing on the TV show Britain’s Got Talent last year, was given medical attention before eventually beling allowed to board her flight.
Hours later she gave a performance of I Dreamed A Dream at the 60th San Remo Festival.
A representative of Boyle said she was overcome by heat in the lounge. Her manager, Andy Stephens was photographed comforting the singer in an airport cafe shortly afterwards.
The incident comes weeks after Boyle freaked out in the British Airways VIP Lounge in Heathrow while travelling to Chicago to shoot an interview with Oprah Winfrey. On that occasion Boyle shouted obcenities and attempted to polish a passenger’s shoes with a mop.
Boyle is set to make around $8 million from record sales of her debut album I Dreamed A Dream.
Musictoob says: Susan, quit while you are ahead.

I just think that Susan Boyle, who is a wonderful singer by the way, is exhausted from all the traveling, the paparazzi following her, the tabloids being unkind. She is an overnight sensation and is not used to this kind of attention. It’s hard for her or anyone to make that transition overnight. I think her manager and Simon Cowel should have her slow down a bit so that she can continue to please her fans but still have time for herself. Susan, you’re the best. Just hang in there and just slow down a bit. We’ll still be here waiting for your albums to come. God Bless.
