Apologies for the month long respite. I had to do the laundry, take my suit to the dry cleaners, you know how it is. To start the new year as I mean to go on here’s a rare clip of Ricky Gervais interviewing Coldplay’s Chris Martin for Gervais’s award winning website (it’s plugged at the end of the clip.) When Gervais mentions “Bruce Foxton the estate agents” he is refering to a previous encounter in Q magazine between the two men, when Gervais lambasted the much younger Martin for confusing the high kicking bass player of The Jam with a popular chain of high street estate agents. It was a competitive, points-scoring quip, which the comedian obviously enjoyed enough to bring up again here.
