Michael Jackson tried to adopt Octomom’s Octuplets

sna30jakpp-280_836233aHey, the guy was nuts, right?

Michael Jackson tried to adopt Octomum Nadya Suleman’s eight babies just weeks before he died.

It emerged last night that the King of Pop approached penniless Suleman offering to take care of the tots in return for cash.

Jacko, 50, desperate for a larger family, was concerned at reports Suleman was considering giving the children up for adoption.

He ordered aides to launch a charm offensive on Suleman’s publicist Victor Munoz.

Victor was called three times by Jacko’s people who quizzed him about his client and told him that Jackson was prepared to help.

Then Jackson – who already had children Prince, 12, Paris, 11, and seven-year-old Prince Michael II, known as Blanket – called Victor personally.

He said: “Blanket would love to have more siblings. I could take care of all the babies, they could live with me and wouldn’t need for anything. They would have a bright future.

“I want to take care of Nadya. She will be happy and won’t have to worry about caring for her children any more.”

Jacko was amazed by news footage of octuplets Malia, Jonah, Isaiah, Nariah, Jeremiah, McCai, Josiah and “the blond one” Noah.

And he clearly believed his star power could convince the Octomum, who already had six children, to hand over her latest offspring.

Victor said: “When Michael called I thought it was a joke at first. I was getting hundreds of calls every day and many from celebrities’ agents saying their client wanted to help.

“But when the person on the end of the line said ‘Hi it’s Michael Jackson’ I was a bit taken aback. Michael wanted to know how the babies were, how Nadya was coping.

“He then said he could take care of the children if Nadya couldn’t. It was creepy. He was basically offering to buy the children. I was a bit shocked.” Unemployed single mum Suleman, 33, gave birth to the octuplets in January after IVF.

She had appeared on networks across America saying she was “struggling”.

Her own mum Angela blasted her decision to have eight more babies as “unconscionable.” And she hinted Suleman was considering options including adoption. “How she’s going to cope I don’t know,” she said.
