Susan Boyle has admitted a difficult childhood means that she now battles with depression every day.
Susan, set for a third week on top of the album charts, said: “I can be up and down like a yo-yo. I can be depressed.
“I know I’m taking a big chance telling people this but you have to be honest. I used to be made a fool of at school.
“It was psychological bullying and that leaves a scar and it also cultivates a lot of anger.
“When people are a wee bit slow others pick at them. My life was made absolute hell.”
Susan, 48, of Blackburn, East Lothian, has become a multi-millionaire since launching to global fame on Britain’s Got Talent in April.
Her debut album I Dreamed A Dream has already sold three million copies. She told an Australian TV show: “When I went on Britain’s Got Talent I said this is a chance to prove myself.
“I can be a bit funny after being tired but whenever I go on stage I forget all about that.
“I feel I’ve got a communication with the audience. I’m told I’m a different person on stage.”
Susan, who pulled some strange faces on a French chat show with star host Michel Drucker yesterday, admits never having got over the 2007 death of mum Bridget.
She said: “In some ways I had a conflict with my mother – everyone argues. It makes me cry and I’m trying not to now. She’s not alive to see how proud I could have made her.”
Susan’s such an inspiration!!! What a brave woman. I just read that tv guide network has her exclusive story, I hope they talk about her faith on it!
